In Matthew 24:19 the Savior teaches that it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of the needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.
The eye of the needle is an actual gate into Jerusalem. The interesting symbolism is that a camel must kneel to get through the gate. I think Jesus was making a powerful statement about humility.
